The place where our wines are created and where pleasure & hospitality are lived
Our lifelong dream.
Giving wines their own signature through passion and absolute focus. This was the long cherished wish. Our lifelong dream.
At the same time the Graeber family was looking for ambitious successors.
Wanted. Found. Dream couple.
Since the takeover in July 2019, we have been striving every day to preserve the old and at the same time allow new things to grow.
With our winery we would like to create a place of enjoyment and joy of life. To linger. To tell. To enjoy. Casual and warm.
One team
Unagitated, focused, ambitious. This describes Julius quite well. Growing up in the Palatinate, he followed the classic training path of a winemaker: trained at the VDP wineries Christmann and Wittmann, made a detour abroad and finished with the master winemaker. Julius thinks wine in the vineyard: through focused work in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar, he creates natural representatives of their grape variety and terroir. This is where the secret of his craft lies. Honest, without frills, but with great sensitivity.
Janina likes people. Authentic and uncomplicated she is the hostess in the winery.
She came to the Palatinate for love. For the love of Julius. The love of wine came naturally...
She holds a business degree and is the contact person for marketing and sales.

Cellar
Located on the German Wine Route in the Southern Palatinate, Edenkoben offers a fantastic view of the Rhine Valley and the Villa Ludwigshöhe on the Haardtrand. A Tuscan holiday mood is already apparent at first glance.
Here, deep soils dominate, consisting mainly of loess and loam. In our monopoly vineyard, the Edenkobener Mühlberg, there is also red sandstone weathering in the subsoil, which gives our wine a special mineral note.
On 12.5 hectares we work meticulously, with a lot of manual labour, to bring healthy grapes home in autumn.
Respect for nature and biodiversity is close to our heart, which is why we work in our vineyards without herbicides and in a way that is gentle on the soil.
In the cellar we leave the young wines a lot of freedom. We intervene only as little as possible and as much as necessary in order to preserve the most natural representatives of their grape variety and terroirs.
